In short: Private servers rarely have a built-in AFK system. Anyone who still wants to farm while away from the machine needs a program that recognises instead of clicking blindly. What decides success is less the detection than the question of what happens when something interrupts: a full inventory, death, a player standing next to you, a private message.
What the server brings
Before installing anything, it is worth looking at the server itself. Some private servers ship their own auto-hunt or AFK system where the character attacks enemies nearby by itself. Where that exists, it is the most comfortable route, because it is part of the game.
On the official servers there is Auto-Hunt for this. On most private servers, however, there is nothing of the sort, and an external program is all that is left. Using one generally violates the server's rules, and that belongs to the truth. How big the risk actually is and what it depends on is covered in Metin2 Bot Without Ban.
Which mode for what
BeaTzVision has four modes, and that choice affects yield more than any other setting:
| Mode | What it does | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | searches again after every stone | stones spread far apart, first setup |
| Queue | lines up the next stones while fighting | dense maps, maximum throughput |
| Macro | you fight, the bot loots and pulls | active play without the busywork |
| Bio | biologist hand-ins only, across all windows | when only the hand-in should run |
For the first night: check in normal mode that detection is solid, then switch to queue. How queue mode works in detail and which timing settings go with it is covered in Queue Mode and Long Sessions.
What ends a night
In practice, a long session almost never ends because the bot fails to recognise a stone. It ends on one of these five small things:
- A full inventory. From then on the clicking continues but nothing is picked up. Plan enough space or clear it beforehand.
- Death without revival. Without auto-revive, the character lies there until morning.
- A private message. Being written to and not answering for hours while visibly farming is the most common route to a report. That is why the PM alert stops everything and waits for your confirmation.
- A player who stops nearby. The player radar spots them on the minimap and pauses until they are gone.
- Server restart or a dropped connection. No setting helps against that. Many private servers restart at fixed times at night — worth knowing before you plan.
On top of that come the settings that keep the session from looking mechanical: random breaks every 400 to 600 stones, and fatigue simulation that slows the bot down every hour. All the safety features mentioned belong to the premium version.
First make sure the bot detects cleanly. Then make sure it stops when something interrupts. Only after that touch the speed. Start with Turbo and you will look for the problem in the wrong place later.
Choosing the spot
A fixed list of best maps helps little on private servers, because spawns, drops and levels differ from server to server. These criteria apply everywhere:
- The right level: strong enough for decent drops, weak enough that you do not die.
- Dense spawns: many stones close together mean short walks and more yield per hour.
- Little traffic: fewer kill-steals and fewer people who notice you.
- No roamers: stronger monsters wandering through end any long session.
- Watch first: sit next to it for half an hour before you leave the spot alone.
Staying realistic
A bot takes the clicking off your hands, not the thinking. It does not choose a map, it does not notice that the drops there are worthless, and it does not know an event is running. Nor does it replace caution: standing on a busy map around the clock while never being online yourself gets noticed eventually, no matter how cleanly the software works.
If detection refuses to cooperate, the troubleshooting guide helps. And if you want to know what technically happens during detection, it is in How BeaTzVision Works Internally.
